A tribute to the music of Fats Waller, it looks at his music, the life and times of these five performers from the Manhattan nightclubs such as the Cotton Club, Savoy Ballroom which were the playgrounds of high society to the Lenox Avenue dives filled with piano players banging out swing music. Raucous, sometimes raunchy, but always gutsy songs take us on this musical journey.
